"An evening of local fare and relaxation, Taste of the Town brings together the premier restaurants, caterers and beverage vendors in the Poplar Bluff area to benefit the Poplar Bluff Boys & Girls Club. 2016 Taste of the Town was the 10th event in BGC history, hosted at the Black River Coliseum. Taste of the Town was originally a Wine & Cheese Tasting Party held at the new 1st Community Bank, but the popularity of the event soon grew exponentially. Entertainment and fine dining is enjoyed throughout the night, and the People’s Choice Award goes to the vendor who has the most dollar votes at the end of the evening! This fundraiser has steadily increased in number of participants and the amount of money raised, resulting in $40,000 raised for the Club, and nearly 600 guests in attendance." -via Boys and Girls Club of Poplar Bluff.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and general admission costs $40.
