2013 “Valentines For Veterans” Concert Ticketing Underway

Tickets are available to Veterans, their families, and the general public for the Third Annual “VAlentines For Veterans” concert, featuring Aaron Tippin.  The event will be held at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on February 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

Veterans and the public may visit the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center at 1500 N. Westwood Blvd. or the Greater Poplar Bluff Area Chamber of Commerce at 1111 West Pine in Poplar Bluff to obtain tickets, or call the ticket reservation line at 573-778-4414.  Tickets are required and will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis with four priorities of distribution: Gold Star Family Members (those who have lost a family member in service), Veterans, families of Veterans and the general public.  There is no cost for the tickets, as “the price has already been paid” by the service of local Veterans.

Sponsored by the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center and area organizations, the popular national concert series is made possible in Poplar Bluff through the generous donations of funds, time and materials from area communities. Success of the past two concerts in promoting partnerships between volunteers, VA employees, Veteran Service Organizations, businesses and the community established Poplar Bluff as a priority concert location for the third year in a row.

The John J. Pershing VA Medical Center welcomes volunteers, businesses and Veterans Service Organizations who want to assist with time and/or donations to bring the no-cost event to Veterans and the community. Donations will be used for lighting, sound, hotel and lodging, meals for the entertainer, transportation, ticketing, advertisement, security and labor costs associated with setting up the event. Interested individuals or organizations who want to assist may contact concert coordinator, Michael Dobbs at 573-778-4058.
