Butler County 4-H si excited to star a new 4-H Rifle Club in Poplar Bluff. The goal of these projects is to teach safe and responsible use of shooting sports equipment, sound decision-making, self-discipline and concentration. 4-H Shooting Sports promote the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship, and ethical behavior.
Each shooting sports club is led by a certified 4-H Shooting Sprots Instructor who strives to make each meeting fun for the members by incorporating games and competition. Each youth must enroll in 4-H and complete 6 hours of safety instruction
The Shooting Sports Safety training will be held on Thursday, May 28 from 6 p.m.-9p.m. and Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the Poplar Bluff Gun club. All youth must be registered online by May 20.
4-H provides a wonderful opportunity to make a new friends, promote family recreation and meet other youth from the county with similar interests.
4-H Shooting Sports welcomes all youth ages 8-18 years.
